Woh kagaz ki kashti, woh barish ka paani. My favourite childhood memory: Growing up, I had the privilege of living in multiple towns. As a child, be it the sound of the ice cream cart ringing the bell on a hot summer afternoon in Delhi or reuniting with my parents five hours after getting lost in Nagpur. My childhood was fun-filled and nothing less than an adventure.
No one quite like you. My favourite person: The late Thich Nhất Hanh, a Vietnamese Buddhist monk.
Hues of life. My favourite colour: White and blue as they signify clarity, peace and calmness.
Tune into a mood. My favourite song: The whole studio album Sailing to Philadelphia by Mark Knopfler, a British singer, songwriter, musician and record producer.
A cup of coffee and thee. Most memorable read: My childhood favourite - The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde. It is truly an emotional read even today.
Bring out the popcorn. A movie I can watch over and over again: Inception, Swades, Vanilla Sky, and every movie that Coen Brothers make.
A bite of heaven. My favourite cuisine: The humble dal, rice, salad and curd.
Moments worth living. My favourite celebration: All the celebrations are close to my heart. My first job with the Times of India, the numerous trips abroad, attending music concerts of BB King, Yes and Peter Frampton, i n t e r a c t i n g with the band members of Deep Purple, meetup with Johnny Winter in his tour bus, the birth of my son, bringing home two rescue pups, my decision to exit a corporate career in 2011 to start my coaching firm, the list is endless.
Tabiyat se. What fitness means to me: Workout, self-care, regular naps and keeping the stress at bay.
In quest of paradise. My favourite holiday destination: The mighty Egypt. The Pyramids, the museums, Cleopatra’s Library, City of Alexandria, they all are mesmerising.
My poison (favourite drink): A well-made filter coffee
Scent of you. My favourite perfume: The subtle fragrance of Terre D’ Hermes and the classy Kenzo.
A celeb I look up to and why: The late Steve Jobs for his creativity and design aesthetics, Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela for their courage to speak truth to power.
Thodi masti. Thoda gyaan: Be creative. The world needs more art and artists.
Kaam hain to hum hain. I love my profession because: The coaching profession aligns well with my personality as it brings a sense of meaning and purpose to my life.
What I do for me. A hobby/pastime that defines me: Reading, writing and continuously learning.
