Nidhi was born and raised in the small town of Itarsi, Madhya Pradesh(MP). “Itarsi now is a very developed city,” she smiled. Itarsi is progressive, and the locals there are soft-spoken and highly ambitious—that is what reflects in Nidhi’s charisma. “People there also believe that education is the key to success, and I hold that belief quite dear to my heart,” said a proud Nidhi.
Steady beginning
Known for her academic prowess, Nidhi managed to score excellent grades. “As I mentioned, education was important for me. And to secure a good future, getting good marks was a stepping stone.” Her father was a class teacher, and the same values were instilled in Nidhi, “That is one of the reasons why I was studious, as I was just following my father’s footsteps,” she smiled.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Nidhi actively participated in extracurricular activities. Whether it was the elocution competition or sports events, she made a mark for herself and excelled in all of them. Talking about the importance of taking part in extracurricular activities, she said, “This has played a role in my development. I learnt the values of patience, hard work, networking, focus, and a lot more. All these values helped me in my educational and corporate journey as well. Hence, I modestly urge all the students to explore the extracurricular activities of their liking as their perks are simply outstanding.”
Learning moment
During her formative years, Nidhi learned the most valuable lesson of her life. Sadly, tragedy struck her family at a very young age, and she lost both of her parents. “Navigating through this trying time was no easy feat, but the unwavering support of my elder brother and close family members proved instrumental in enabling me to live a semblance of a normal life,” she informed, while she further added, “The most challenging period of my life proved to be a valuable teacher enlightening me to the fact that life is not always easy, but rather a journey that gradually improves over time. Despite the difficulties I faced, I remained determined and worked tirelessly to grasp the subtle intricacies of life.”
Moving on
Upon graduating with a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bhopal, she relocated to Pune to pursue her further education. Her aspiration to obtain a master’s degree in marketing had always been at the forefront of her mind. “The objective of my quest of further education was twofold: to expand my knowledge base as much as possible, and to secure a promising placement for myself,” she said, while further adding, “Relocating from Bhopal to Pune posed a significant challenge, as I experienced a cultural shift that took some getting used to. However, the friendships I forged over time proved to be instrumental in aiding my successful adjustment to my new surroundings.”
Soon began her campus placement journey. “Without delay, I threw myself into preparation for campus placement from day one. Despite enjoying a great time with my wonderful friends, we remained fully committed to our studies, putting in countless hours of hard work and dedication. Our group worked together to prepare for the group discussion and personal interview rounds, while also staying informed and up-to-date by reading extensively and conducting thorough research,” said Nidhi.
Nidhi’s tireless efforts paid off handsomely, as she cracked her very first job interview and has since spent the past four years working with Deloitte USI. Each day on the job, presented her with new opportunities for learning and personal growth, and she relishes the experience. Moving forward, she aspires to prioritise her health and well-being, while continuing to climb the ladder of success with deliberate, steady steps.
