Born and raised in Pune, Bhagyashree’s positive attitude is the result of the way she was raised. And she cannot thank her parents enough, as this has helped her reach far in life. “I was a mix of both mischievous, outgoing, and a student who got grades too. The way my parents raised me transformed me into a better version of myself. Moreover, I found the right balance. And I was happy to learn a valuable lesson - Success is the by-product of your attitude,” said a proud Bhagyashree.
Life goes on
In 2014, Bhagyashree took up B.E. (Computer Science). With the hope to ace her exams, Bhagyashree pulled up her socks. However, life had something else in store for her. “When you least expect it, life hits you with harsh realities. It was during my third paper; I was all geared up to write the Math paper. Preparations were on point. But the news I was about to hear was about to change my life entirely. I was completed shattered to hear about the demise of my father. At that moment I realised the worth of my responsibilities. Being the eldest, I took it upon myself to look after the house. With that, I couldn’t afford to miss my exams too. I finished the final rights of my father and went ahead to give the exam,” said a teary-eyed Bhagyashree. We are sure your father must have been really proud of the way you handled things, “I am living each day to make him proud,” said a proud daughter. While she further added, “you will have to go through all sorts of problems in life. But just remember, nothing in life is permanent. Live each day to the fullest.”
Explore the unexplored
Over the years, Bhagyashree has realised the importance of co-curricular activities in a student’s life. “Be it sports or dancing, all through my school and college life, I was engaged in co-curricular activities.” Talking about its importance, she said, “Education and studies are important, but students should move beyond that and explore the unexplored. Investing your time in extracurricular activities provides students with a breath of fresh air, it certainly boosts their confidence, and broadens their horizons.”
Growing limitless
After completing her graduation, Bhagyashree wanted to sign her educational journey off by pursuing an MBA in Marketing and Finance. “My aim to take up MBA was to grow leap and bounds, groom myself and make good use of my skills,” added Bhagyashree.
One of the best things about Bhagyashree is that she knows what she exactly wants. What she wanted from the campus placement round is, “I was sure that I wanted a job in the IT field. However, most students don’t spend time understanding their domain. More than money and position, students should focus on their domain. They should pick a domain that helps them grow.”
And she prepared accordingly. She was on her toes when the campus placement was around the corner. She brushed up on her basics for the aptitude round. And spent hours researching for the GD and PI rounds study material. Bhagyashree even had a backup plan in case she did not get through an IT company. The FMCG sector was her second option. “It is important to always have a backup plan. I had the time of my life when I interned with AMUL. That’s when I fell in love with this sector. Overall, I sat for six companies before I got through HCL,” she said. It’s been almost two years that she is working with HCL Technologies, Chennai and she is loving her time in the corporate world. She only yearns that this company helps her achieve her goals. She signed off.

Work on your confidence: For any aspect of your life, your confidence acts as a booster and helps you sign the deal. Especially in the GD and PI rounds, you ought to fight back with confidence. Your self-confidence proves that you are up for any task and ready to take on challenges head-on.
Fundamentals are everything: knowing the basics of any subject or for that matter life, helps set a better foundation. It gives the students much-needed clarity. Once you understand the basics of any subject you are free to ace it. Moreover, it helps in building self-esteem, aids you in dealing with failure, and enhances your problem-solving skills.
