Punekar Aarya Tatke firmly believes in the saying when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it. She explained, “Since the very beginning, I was sure of which stream I wanted to excel in. The pharm industry always intrigued me. The outcome has been amazing and I couldn’t have asked for more.” Currently, Aarya is working with Pfizer Healthcare India Ltd. A part of the Lila Poonawala Foundation, Pune, Aarya learnt of a great deal about life and the corporate world from them. “Things will fall in place when you are strong enough to face adversities. Some good people would move heaven to earth to lend you a helping hand,” she smiled.
Being a good learner
Growing up, Aarya’s educational journey became exciting as she started indulging in several extra circular activities. Talking about her studying pattern, she explained, “As a student, I was quite serious about utilising the knowledge and extending my skills which made me a better learner. I would pay attention during lectures which cut down my revision time. But still, I would study for more than an hour every day just to get a cut through idea of the concepts.” Further adding, “One learns through their experience and I always treasure the virtues that life teaches me. Earlier, I would stress myself during exams. But eventually, I realised that it wasn’t doing any good to me, rather it had adverse effects. That’s when I learnt that fear or taking tension overshadowed my performance. And since then I have been focusing on the solution rather than worrying about the problem.” Aarya completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy from MIT, Pune and Masters of Pharmacy from BVP, Pune.
What provided her immense strength all through her life is meditation. Stressing on the pros of investing in one’s hobbies, she said, “Walking on the path of spirituality has broadened my horizons. Investing time in extracurricular activities gave me a clear picture of what and how I want to achieve in life. Inner peace is something that should be dear to everyone. And I achieved it by focusing equally on studies and pursuing my hobbies.” Aarya represented India as a Peace Ambassador 2018 at London for leadership training and social work.
“I never missed a single lecture during my college days. As most of our lecturers were good teachers, I understood all the concepts, giving me an upper hand in the theory and practicals as well”
