Living life fully & joyfully!
A healthy mind resides in a healthy body says Chitra Jha, Corporate Trainer, Motivational Speaker, who is lovingly known as a ‘Self-Empowerment Coach’ and ‘Holistic Healing Coach’. Besides organising various kinds of workshops on wellness, she successfully conducts a unique concept of ‘WhatsApp Workshops’. Keeping pace with the love for a digital platform, she has introduced this concept where people get coached by her for 21 days. She has been doing four such workshops simultaneously every month. In an exclusive conversation, she tells us more about herself as we caught up with her at ‘Carpe Diem Soul Retreat’ in Goa
A desire to stay fit. A willingness to invest time, energy, and resources into fitness-related activities. No matter how much you motivate a person to remain fit, results will show only when he/she has a desire from within to get fit
Chitra likes to take up very interesting subjects for her workshops. For example, on Practicing Self Love: Loving our Physical Body; Achieve your highest potential: Building our self-esteem; Money Matters and Dealing with Envy and Jealousy. She also leads unique “Maika Retreats”, which are exclusively for women, who can get their children along. These are spaces to nourish women as they would be nourished in their mother’s home. She also has begun collaborating in tourism ventures, Soul Retreats, in exotic locales, where Inner Work is combined with local explorations.
Chitra’s husband, a retired Major General, fully supports her work and lends his presence in tourism ventures. He is an avid photographer and permaculture enthusiast.
Their two sons are well settled. One is a hospitality man in Fiji and the other leads Ananda Sangha, a spiritual organisation, in Mumbai-along with his Spanish wife.

A desire to stay fit. A willingness to invest time, energy, and resources into fitness-related activities. No matter how much you motivate a person to remain fit, results will show only when he/she has a desire from within to get fit.
How can one achieve a great state of wellness?
By desiring it and taking appropriate, timely, inspired actions.
What keeps you fit and healthy?
Our nomadic outdoor-focused lifestyle. We are free birds as we don’t own anything. We travel light and stay bright. On top of that, we have financial freedom and rocking relationships. A perfect recipe for staying healthy-physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and financially.
Your stress busters?
Eliminate that which can be eliminated. Adapt to that which cannot be eliminated. Alter that which cannot be adapted to. Accept that which cannot be altered. Take a deep breathe. All is well.

Eat what makes your mouth salivate. Eat joyfully. Chew abundantly. Feel grateful for food.

Stay outdoors as much as possible. Walk as much as possible. Take stairs as and when possible.
Your diet fads?
I love seafood and all vegetables/fruits. Fruits taste best when they are freshly harvested.
