CORPORATE CITIZEN claps for the wonderful achievement of Indian women cricketers.
A roar is building across India, and it’s not just for the men in blue. The phenomenal rise of our women cricketers has ignited a nation, rewriting the narrative of Indian sport. From Smriti Mandhana’s elegant cover drives to Harmanpreet Kaur’s thundering sixes, from Jhulan Goswami’s legendary pace to the spin wizardry of Deepti Sharma, these athletes are not just playing, they are pioneering a revolution. Their achievements are a crescendo of applause-worthy moments. The heart-stopping run to the 2017 World Cup final was no fluke, it was a statement. It announced the arrival of a gritty and determined unit on the global stage. Since then, record-breaking innings, series wins on foreign soil, and a maiden appearance in a Commonwealth Games final, have cemented their status as world-beaters. The inaugural Women’s Premier League has been the glittering crown jewel, a transformative platform showcasing their skill and star power, inspiring a generation to pick up bat and ball.
But, their impact soars beyond boundary ropes. They are shattering stereotypes and proving that power, passion and prestige, in team sports are not just masculine domains. Every wicket and every victory is a powerful message to every young girl in India: your ambition is valid, and the field is yours. They have galvanised the very concept of women’s team sports, demonstrating its commercial viability and immense public appeal. In uniting a billion hearts, these champions have done more than win matches; they have won the future for women’s sport in India. The stand is up, and the applause is thunderous.
CORPORATE CITIZEN claps for tennis veteran Nitten Kirrtane, as he scripts history with double Gold at Pickleball World Cup 2025.
Nitten Kirrtane has added another glittering chapter to Indian sports by winning two gold medals at the Pickleball World Cup held in Florida, USA, from 27 October to 2 November, 2025. Representing India among 68 participating countries, Kirrtane clinched gold in both the 50+ Men’s Singles and the 50+ Men’s Doubles categories, partnering with Suryaveersingh Bhullar, President of the Pickleball Association of India.
This remarkable feat cements Kirrtane’s place in history as the only Indian athlete to have won world championship titles in two different sports — Tennis and Pickleball.
The former Davis Cup player, who once competed alongside icons like Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, has seamlessly transitioned from the tennis court to mastering one of the world’s fastest-growing racket sports.
Kirrtane’s triumph goes far beyond medals. It is a story of persistence, reinvention, and the unyielding pursuit of excellence. At a stage when most athletes hang up their boots, he continues to redefine what’s possible, showing that sporting spirit does not fade with time.
His achievement is expected to give a strong push to the pickleball movement in India and inspire athletes across generations to take up new challenges with courage and conviction.
By winning double gold on the world stage, Kirrtane has not only brought pride to the nation, but also reminded the sporting world that true champions never stop competing, they simply find new arenas to conquer.
