The founder of Beluga Sports, Neha Pardeshi, who is also secretary of the Rugby Association of Delhi, former captain of the Indian Women’s Rugby Team, and a devoted mother of twins, takes a moment from her packed schedule to share her personal favourites
What is your favourite childhood memory?
It’s the time I spent with my cousins. I was the only girl playing with all these boys—cricket, rugby and every field sport. Even now, when I play rugby, I’m often the only woman among men. Those were the days.
The special name that your loved ones call you by:
Nanu.
How would you describe your personality while you were growing up?
Introvert yet sportive.

An advice that you’d give to your teenage self:
Don’t underestimate yourself and be fearless.
A hobby that defines you:
Sleeping.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
I already have that superpower. Multitasking—I’m a mother, after all.
Three things that people don’t know about you:
1. People might underestimate me, but I always get things done.
2. I’m an expert multitasker.
3. (laughs) I can’t think of a third!

(Laughs) I already am an expert at a few things.

Phone, drinking water, and my kids. I’d happily be stranded with them.
If you were to pen down your life story, what would be the title of your biography be?
Wonder Woman
...and if turned into a movie which actor would play the lead role?
Deepika Padukone or Alia Bhatt.
What would you do if you were gifted a billion dollars, no strings attached?
Invest some and spend some.
What’s one irrational fear that you have?
Best to face fears head-on rather than dwell on them.

My mother’s chicken Biryani – nothing can beat the taste.

Sleep, spend time with my family, and later order in.
