Attrition hits IT space

All that glitters is certainly not gold. The IT sector—one of the most promising sectors of India is currently going through a rough patch as its employees look for greener pastures. Attrition, a term used for employees leaving their companies, has gripped the IT industry real hard. It is true that this so-called “glamorous” sector is one of those very few in India that offer various perquisites for its employees, like pick up and drop facility, flexible working hours, an open and liberal work culture, besides decent to hefty pay packages. However, despite offering these facilities, the industry is still facing high attrition numbers. Recent attrition reports from IT giants show that the numbers have been sharply rising. We took a dip in to understand the reasons for employees looking for an exit.
